Technical vehicle test

We would like to present some information regarding the mandatory technical vehicle test and emission inspection of your vehicles.

According to Decree of the Ministry of Transport, Posts, and Telecommunications of the SR No. 578/2006, Coll. the first regular technical vehicle test and emission inspection must be performed within 4 years of the first registration of the vehicle. The date of the first registration is stated in the Certificate of Vehicle Registration.

In the performance of technical vehicle tests and emission inspections, Business Lease Slovakia co-operates with SLOVDEKRA s.r.o. The latter will perform the required tests at their workshops located in Bratislava (Polianky, Panónska cesta), Nitra, Banská Bystrica, Žilina, Bojnice, Spišská Nová Ves, and Košice. We would also like to remind you that during the technical vehicle checks, vehicle condition as well as compulsory car equipment are examined. Compulsory car equipment for M1 category vehicles includes:
- spare electric fuses – one of each type used
- spare filament lamps (with the exception of light sources with gas-discharge lamps)
- one of each type used for external lighting
- hand-operated jack
- nut or screw wrench for wheel nuts or screws
- spare wheel with disc
- tow-rope
- auto first-aid-kit box (the content of which is stipulated by Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic No. 143/2009 Coll.)
- triangular safety reflector standardised in accordance with EEC Regulation No. 27
- safety garments (reflective vest, overall, trousers, jacket or coat); such garments must be within reach of the driver’s seat.
